Sepang is the home to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA and the Sepang International Circuit. Previously a small town, Sepang has been growing with several recent developments, including residential developments as well as its importance in the logistic sector.

With the newly developed Cainiao Aeropolis Hub in Sepang, the town became more happening. In the area, it hosts two well known universities – Xiamen University Malaysia and Multimedia University Cyberjaya Campus.
